About the course
PASMA training: what you will learn
PASMA training at BJB is the Towers for Users course: one day at our Grimsby centre or on your site, ending with a PASMA certificate and photo card valid for five years.
You learn to choose the right tower for the job, build it using the two safe methods (advance guardrail and through-the-trap), inspect it before use, work from it safely and dismantle it. The day is roughly half classroom and half hands-on, and is assessed by a theory test and a practical build.
The course suits maintenance, electrical, plumbing and decorating trades, facilities and warehouse teams, and contractors whose client or principal contractor asks for a PASMA card before they go on site.
Through theory and practical work you learn to assemble, alter, dismantle, inspect and use mobile access towers safely, to the PASMA standard.
Accredited by PASMA. Certificate issued on successful completion.

Towers for Users is a one-day course. The day finishes with a theory test and a practical assessment in which you build a tower.
Five years from the date of the course. Retake the course before it runs out to keep your certificate current.
A PASMA certificate and photo card, both valid for five years, once you have passed the theory test and the practical assessment. The card is what a site will ask to see.
Yes, as long as there is enough clear height and floor space to build a tower safely. Tell us the site and we will confirm whether it works.
