Cancellation Policy

This policy sets out the terms of payment and cancellation that apply to every BJB Lift Trucks training course booking, whether made through this website, by phone, by email, or on a company credit account.

BJB Lift Trucks Limited is an accredited training provider for IPAF, PASMA and RTITB.

Booking and payment

All course fees are subject to the current rate of VAT.

For bookings made and paid for through this website, payment is taken in full at the time of booking through our payment processor, Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.

For private and personal bookings made directly with us, a non-refundable deposit of £100.00 + VAT secures the booking, with the remaining balance due two weeks before the course start date, payable by cash or card.

Company and business bookings can be made on a credit account, where eligible, on your usual agreed terms.

Course certificates will not be issued until payment has been received in full.

Changing who attends

One candidate can be substituted for another, provided they are of an equal experience level, at any time before the first day of the course, at no extra charge. Contact us to arrange a substitution.

If we need to cancel a course

We reserve the right to cancel any course if there are insufficient numbers to run it viably. If this happens, we will give you as much notice as possible and offer you the choice of transferring to another course date, or a full refund of any fees paid.

If you need to cancel

A 50% cancellation charge applies to courses cancelled two weeks or more before the start date.

Courses cancelled less than one week before the start date are non-refundable.

Arriving on the day

Courses start at 8:00am. Late arrivals may be accommodated up to 8:30am depending on circumstances. After that we may have no option but to turn the candidate away and reschedule the course, which may incur a charge.

Your right to cancel an online booking

If you book and pay for a course through this website, UK law (the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013) would normally give you a 14-day right to cancel the purchase without giving a reason.

Because a training course is delivered on a specific, pre-arranged date that often falls within that 14-day period, completing your booking is treated as an express request for us to begin providing the course before the 14-day period ends. Once a course has been provided in full, the statutory right to a cooling-off refund no longer applies, and the cancellation terms set out above take over instead.

This does not affect your right to cancel under the terms above at any point before the course takes place.
